Using touch OSC with Drum Rack

I am very new to Max and script programming, but i am failry certain that this is possible using Live's drum rack and Max.

I understand that Osculator can take OSC commands and turn them into MIDI which is then native to mapping in Live, but I think that Live doesn't support such easy midi mapping for Drum Rack, am I wrong? Can Max then take the MIDI can route it to the Drum Rack after Osculator? Or do I even need Osculator? Would it be easier to have Max read the native OSC commands?

If anyone could help me or guide me in the rit direction for being able to do this, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

you should follow this tutorial on how to setup osculator in ableton live

http://www.osculator.net/2009/01/27/use-your-iphone-or-ipod-with-ableton...

then route the midi you get from osculator into one midi track (select Midi From Port in the I/O section of the midi track). put your drum rack on that midi track

then you just have to figure out what notes are send out by osculator, which you then link to playing samples or w/e in your drum rack

i think that should do the trick

I am having a problem assigning the midi values to the "pads" in the drum rack. I click MIDI, but it doesn't seem like it accepts any sort of midi input. (It doesn't blue out)

The pads in the drum rack use the full midi scale and thus, you can just send the notes and switch octaves to move the 16 notes selected around.
