Send Program Change to FM8 Plug...?

I want to make a simple knob that selects the "Program Number" and a button that bangs it, or sets it.

I can build that much, but how do I set up the midi in/out and pgmin/pgmout.

My M4L device will sit as the 1st device, and the FM8 plug is second.

Anyone???
