It would be rad to make something similar to what a Macro set of knobs looks like in Ableton.
Only this set of eight knobs would randomly move around, maybe with some kind of randomization amount for each knob. Then that simple device could be plugged into any other Ableton Rack and you could map various parameters to it.
And example might be to plug in the "Ranomizer" into a drum rack using "Samplers", not "Simplers," and mapping the chain selector to one of the randomizing knobs. Hence changing the samples as the piano rolled beat plays out. You could use an amount feature to adjust how much of how often it randomizes, in sync of course?
I have messed with some Reaktor stuff like this and it's awesome! But I am dedicated to learning how to make it happen strictly in live using M4L.
Any tips on where to start would be great!
Randomizer Macro...maybe?
You could probably use the live.step object and have it mapped to different areas of the sampler using live.remote. I would have to think about it some more.

This is great I too have done this type of thing in Reaktor, but would like to learn to do it in Live with M4L so all the envelopes and such are all contained in clips within Live not going between Reaktor and Live interfaces.
