NEW: Ableton Live Midi Remote Script for OHM64!!!

I have just completed a pretty complete integration with Livid's Ohm64 and Live. The mapping acts very similar to the APC40 with a few exceptions. Jay from Livid has posted the complete info in his forums and the download is available there too. If you have an Ohm64 and you use Live, then this is what you have been waiting for. We do take suggestions, so please do not be shy.

This is real great!
I´d really like to expand the script though.
I´m not a very good programmer (really new to this) but it would be really nice to use the big button up right to have a sort of shift function. To get to a new setup when pressed in combination with another knob.

Any ideas how I could do that?

I am working on shiftable functions right now. I think the same cocept could be used for what you are describing...

Oh great! I ready for beta testing here.
I think the shiftable functions will make the ohm limitless.

Will there be a way to switch between "presets" on the ohm too? You already made the launch system perfect, would be great to use it as a synth/drumrack/etc in different menus.

I guess you´ve already considered this:)

Looking so forward to test it!

Thank you for doing I great job Mike, wich I could help you more!

Totally agree with kvitskit77. Mr. Chenetz is doing a neat job on the script, I´m looking so forward to try a update. Wish there was more people eager to get a good script though, shouldn´t be just up to Chenetz.

Do you have any idea when there will come a new beta update Mike?

Thank you so much, couldn´t live without the red box:)

An update is coming out, very soon, to fix some issues with the original script. The shiftable functions should be shortly after. I am glad you guys like it. If you have comments on how you would like it to function then please tell me and I will see if it's feasible to add the functionality.

Nice Mike!
I guess there could be an endless list.
The volume/pan will be assigned to other things here, I think they are a bit in the way when working live. Specially afraid to push the master volume when not suppose to, so I make that do something else.
I guess that can be up to the one using it. (Pardon my english)

Would be nice to have "banks/presets" so that the version out now is preset 1 (launch)

I think the big knob up right would suit fine as a shift/function knob
Preset 2 - Drumrack
Preset 3 - synth/keyboard
Preset 4 - Surprise
Preset x...

I´ve modded the script to have a Solo instead of Arm, suits my setup better.(With the shift button we could have both - ooo!)

This way it will work nice for live AND studio and Mike will be more king of the castle than he already is:)

Other ideas out there?
Let´s brainstorm!

Sounds great!
I´ll add to the list:

- Clips blinking when played
- Light constant on when not played, but you can see where they are.
Something like that to get a better overview over what´s happening.

I think this list will be to big for one person though..

I am currently working on a fix for the lights in the clip matrix. I think they will do the following....

Lights on solid for all occupied clip slots (maybe a lighter intensity)
Lights blinking when triggered
Lights on sold (higher intensity) when playing

I really like the comments on the shift-able functions. I will take them into consideration.

Hi folks!

Problem solved, just had to not store to preset when it was edited in the Ohm 64 Editor.

Any news about the script? Will there be a 1.0 version out soon?

I´m using the script as a standard in my setup, but I´m looking forward to a update. Have anyone heard of any news from that part?

Function (big knob) + red box left/right/up/down = jump 7 steps is high on my wishlist:)

Suggestion:

Active clips: blinking
Not active: constant light
Where there are no clips: no light at all.

Or something like that.

mike,

send over your paypal bud. i'm ready to endorse this thing to take form.

we gotta get the livid community invigorated so that it's viable. otherwise, you might as well build your own controller and write your own scripts.

money and time always the dividing factor in this capitalist state.

Agree, I´d rather pay a couple of bucks than wait forever:)

I dig the script so far, but there is almost an unlimited amount of posibilites!

Hi again!

Are you having any luck with the led thing?

I think this is the only thing thats missing from having a very nice script. As long as it is all on channel 1 we can do what we want with the others.

Would be great if there was possible to copy the led style of the NK script, but I guess that´s hard.

Hi again!

Are you having any luck with the led thing? (meaning the led on launching clips).

I tried the NK script and I really like the way I can see where my clips are, who is active, and who is ready to go. What I don´t like about that script is that I´m so stuck.

I have a new working script for the Ohm64 that isn't based on Mike's. It does quite a few things that aren't available with the old script, and includes a solution for blinking led's. It's not completely finished, but I'll be ready for beta testers next week some time.

Although the script is stand-alone, I'm looking for testers that have m4l, as their is a companion patch that adds Monomodular support as well as an HUD for seeing things about current assignment paths for the knobs and faders.

Drop me some mail if you want to participate.

Cheers :)

Hi again Mike!

Have you had any chance to look more at the script?

Would just be so great!

great work youre doing here !

my suggestions would be the following:

while using shift key the 12 knobs should control a 3 band eq on each of the channel (H-M-L x4)

while using shift key the four knobs on the right could control filters (2 channels per knob, depending on which filters on each channel are armed) - in this way one knob can control the filter on more than one channel at the same time too.

i am not an expert at programming but is this possible to be done with knobs while in shift mode since the LEDs would hv to be updated while going in and out of shift mode?

well done fr all that you are doing. i am ready to endorse this script, msg me ur paypal details on pfelice88@gmail.com, also pls inform me about the current verions features. thanks in advance.
