I think I've found a bug in the launchpad but can someone please check this

 I can't get any input into the Live api from the button matrix while on user 1 page.  All other pages work properly.  I believe this is because I used to have all the buttons on user 1 page midi-mapped in Live, and it isn't recovering their function now that the MIDI map is clear.  
I've tried:
rebooting the launchpad
rebooting live, max, and my computer
clearing the midi map by highlighting the mapped controls in MIDI-map mode and hitting "delete"
clearing the midi map by opening the map listing and highlighting assignments and hitting "delete"
starting a new, empty set
deactivating all launchpad input/output assignments on the Live MIDI preference page and then turning them back on
etc.
If I go back to the old set, the MIDI functionality of the button matrix still works.  But I can't get it to show up under any circumstances with this patch:
