Just finished my first M4L patch. I'm a new user of Max also so any advice is welcomed on this patch. I found the basis of the patch on the Cycling74 forums and tweaked it like crazy for M4L.
The device is a MIDI effect that takes a MIDI note and uses it like a bouncing ball. There are controls for initial velocity, gravity and coefficient of restitution. The inspiration came from here: www.youtube.com/watch.

Sorry I missed the follow ups. This was my first twiddling with M4L and was taken from a patch I saw on the Cycling74 forums (which was a beginner patch for the original author). I admit, it is a HUGE CPU hog so use at your own risk. I also posted it on maxforlive.com as an axmd file which can be pulled into Live without having to create a new patch in Max.
This posting of code seems to be the standard in the Max community (I only just got started in M4L). So it also took me a bit to figure out this copy of code and create patch from clipboard technique.
